Kelvin Murray, Director of Expedition Operations and Undersea Projects for EYOS, participated in the Fourth Joint Arctic Search and Rescue (SAR) Workshop and Tabletop Exercise in Reykjavik last week. He joined more than 80 representatives from the Arctic expedition industry, the search and rescue sector and academia.
Last week, at the 15th anniversary conference of the Association of Arctic Expedition Cruise Operators (AECO), Kelvin Murray, our Director of Expedition Operations & Undersea Projects, was voted onto the organization’s Executive Committee.
Our 2017 Arctic season is wrapping up with the finalising of paperwork, including reporting back on permits, debriefing staff and clients, and recording the high points and lessons learned to ensure EYOS remains the market leader in delivering safe, seamless, educational and luxurious expeditions.
EYOS is a proud member of IAATO, which advocates and promotes the practice of safe and environmentally responsible travel to the Antarctic. Recently, IAATO collaborated with AECO to host its first ever Field Staff Conference that focused on the future of polar tourism and promoted best practice out in the field.
