Chris Davenport is considered one of the world’s most accomplished big-mountain skiers and mountaineers as a two-time World Champion skier, and the first person to ski all fifty-four of Colorado’s 14,000-foot peaks in less than one year. He has numerous first descents of peaks around the globe under his belt. In May 2011, along with Neal Beidleman, Davenport skied 2,000 feet of the Lhotse Face on Mount Everest, described as “one of just a handful of documented ski descents on the Lhotse Face; he then reached the summit of Mount Everest on May 20, 2011. Chris is an honored member of both the US Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame and the Colorado Ski Hall of Fame. Davenport is an author of Ski the 14ers: A Visual Tribute to Colorado’s 14,000-Foot Peaks from the Eyes of a Ski Mountaineer and 50 Classic Ski Descents of North America, and is a contributor to several ski publications.

A native of Aspen, Colorado, he has been called “one of North America’s top 25 skiers by Skiing Magazine and is a “two-time extreme skiing world champion”. His favorite places to ski include Japan, the Antarctica Peninsula, the north of Norway, Alaska and the Andes of Chile.
