As we look ahead to 2025, our expedition team has curated a selection of the world’s most remote, pristine destinations. From crispy-cold virgin ski runs in Greenland to diving some of the world’s best coral reefs in Raja Ampat, each expedition offers a diverse mix of off-the-path adventures ideal for exploration by private yacht.

When: April and May

EYOS pioneered yacht-based heli-skiing, and heli-skiing in Greenland is without equal: in April to May, from powder to corn, these protected fjords offer unparalleled access to prime heli-ski terrain. Ski from summit to sea on wide, treeless snowfields and down steep couloirs flanking glacier-sculpted peaks. Carve tracks where few have or will — from heights overlooking iceberg-choked bays and granite landscapes some 3.8 billion years old. No lift, no lines, this is beyond backcountry. With her helipad and polar bona fides, Legend is the ideal launchpad for a next-level backcountry experience in Greenland.

When: May through September

America’s great last frontier, summer 2025 marks the first first-ever dedicated expedition yachting season in Alaska with EYOS, however, our expedition team has unparalleled expedition heritage in the region, ensuring a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. Kayak narrow inlets, hike lush temperate rainforests, or flights over alpine lakes, glaciers, and moraines. Observe countless species of wildlife– humpback whales cooperatively feeding; Steller sea lion haulouts; soaring bald eagles; and brown bears feeding on salmon at the water’s edge. Watch spectacular thundering tidewater glaciers, some of the largest in North America, as they calve into floating bergs. Hanse Explorer will spend May-September 2025 here and is ideally suited for these waters, with several tools for exploration onboard (Zodiacs, kayaks, paddleboards) and the ability to venture into smaller fjords and inlets than larger vessels.

When: November – January

An epic achievement for any polar explorer, walk in the footsteps of history on a once-in-a-lifetime, remarkable expedition to one of the most exclusive destinations on Earth. Begin at Three Glaciers Camp on the broad expanse of Union Glacier. Snowmobile at Sporli Col, or ski a scenic 2-hour ski from Three Glaciers, or Sno-Cat the across tundra with sweeping views of the Ellsworth Mountains. Then fly to the South Pole for an unforgettable stay at 90° South, and enjoy a celebratory meal with your fellow explorers, plus plenty of time to take photos at both the Geographic and Ceremonial Poles. Imagine how it must have felt to stand here a century ago with only the sound of the wind and an endless expanse of white stretching northward in all directions.

When: November – March

While EYOS has unmatched Antarctic experience and has been exploring this region for decades, every expedition to the White Continent is unique with several ‘pinch me’ moments over the course of a week onboard, and a flexible itinerary determined by weather and ice conditions as you explore this last truly wild continent. Observe whales from the tenders, kayak among huge icebergs in the company of penguins as you explore coasts of sculpted ice in silence, or go farther—ski touring the incredible mountains around the yacht. Hanse Explorer will ply these waters in the 2025-26 Antarctic season, or Legend’s 22-guest capacity is ideal for larger groups.
