In August 2026, EYOS ventured into the remote wilderness of East Greenland aboard Aqua Lares, following the vast waterways of Scoresby Sund, the largest and longest fjord system in the world. The expedition was in search of a phenomenon even rarer than Greenland’s glacial ice and Arctic foxes. From a position in the path of totality, guests watched as a total solar eclipse passed over Greenland, plunging the fjords and ice into an extraordinary, fleeting twilight. Photographer David Wright documented the journey, capturing both the otherworldly atmosphere of the eclipse and the elemental landscapes of East Greenland that surrounded it.
